The Practice Promise

We endeavor, at all times, to be a caring, efficient and approachable practice. We will provide the best care and attention possible for you and your pets. If our service falls below your high expectations, please speak to our Clinical Lead, who will investigate and get back to you as soon as possible.

Fees and Terms

Our terms of business for all small animal work (pets) are: payment at the time of your consultation or on collection of your pet, post-operation. We accept cash, cheques and debit and credit card payments. If you are concerned about the cost of treatment please discuss with a member of staff beforehand.

Opening hours

The Perth surgery is open from 8.30am until 7.00pm Monday to Friday for surgery and consultations and from 9am until 12pm on Saturday for consultations. We can deal with all enquiries during these times**.

We endeavour to see you on the day you call to book your appointment or at your later convenience.

Consultation Times

We use an appointment system to ensure you have adequate time to discuss your pet’s healthcare needs and treatment plans with the veterinary surgeon and to minimise your waiting time.

Please telephone our Perth number for an appointment at any of our three branches.

Perth Consultation Times:

Mon-Fri 9am-12pm and 2pm-7pm

Sat 9.30am-12pm

Tues & Thurs 2pm-4pm

Friday 4pm-5.30pm Please note we cannot currently run a Saturday surgery - please contact Perth site to make your appointments

*Please note that Scone and Auchterarder consultation times can be subject to change, please ensure that you contact our Perth branch on 01738623210 to check what times these branches are open.

These branches are staffed by our vets only; they consult within the consultation times listed below based on client demand, therefore if you are collecting medication from either Scone or Auchterarder it is always best to telephone in advance to check that the surgery will be open when you go.

When ordering products over the telephone to be collected at Scone or Auchterarder, we request payment at the time of ordering.

This is very important to us, because asking our vets to take payment at the branch when you collect the products delays our consulting vets significantly and most importantly inconveniences other clients who are waiting to be seen.

REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ORDERING

Please call our Perth surgery if you wish to order a repeat prescription. We need 24-48 hours notice to check and sign off your prescription, so please make your request in good time. If we have not seen your pet for a while please note we may ask you to bring them in for a check up before supplying medication.

Out of Hours Emergencies

PETS: We operate a 24 hour, year round emergency service. We share weekend and weeknight emergency out of hours cover with another local Perth veterinary practice, Tower Veterinary Centre, West Huntingtower, PH1 3NR, on the outskirts of Perth.

If you require urgent veterinary attention between 7.00pm and 8.30am, or at week-ends, please phone the surgery on 01738 623210 and you will be re-directed to the on-duty small animal veterinary surgeon.

EQUINE: We have had to put in temporary cover for our equine clients which will be provided by: Loch Leven equine whose office number is 01577 841010 and for out of hours emergencies is 07789684245.

PLEASE HAVE PEN AND PAPER HANDY TO NOTE DOWN THE MOBILE NUMBER THAT YOU WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE DUTY VET.
